Automata Resident Artist Jordan Wong in conversation with Tim Tsang about Jordan’s project "Other Than That, I Had A Good Time".

"Other Than That, I Had A Good Time" is a queen size quilt constructed from a combination of cyanotype and embroidered fabric. Utilizing recalled domestic spaces and architectural language, intricately coded pictographs and schematic abstractions are used to document the fallout of a fraught relationship. The quilt could be thought of as an experimental comic book that navigates a San Francisco home in 3 unique time periods: 1994, 1998, and 2020.
