Join us this Friday night for a two part program of sound and projection. For the first part of the program, Bay Area sound artist Zachary Watkins will present a solo set of electric guitar + effects. Watkins is interested in the physical aspects of sound and has developed a sensibility that fosuses heavily on Resonance. Watkins states: "Vibration is at the core of my experience of Resonance. I am moved by natural resonances that exist all around us."
The second half of the program features Zachary Watkins in collaboration with filmmaker Alix Blevins, who is currently based in Los Angeles.

Their collaboration features dual 16mm projection of film loops that are being slowly degraded throughout the live film performance. Alix Blevins created the film loops specifically for this collaboration, and manipulates / adjusts the film throughout the piece. Zachary Watkins' audio loops are in constant dialogue with the film, sometimes connecting or synching with the image loops, while at other times interrupting the film.
